Barev from Hayastan
Well, we made it here safe and sound! The flight was realllllllly long, but I think everyone is OK. Vienna was a lot of fun, we went to restaurant there and ordered 6 wienerschnitzel’s and some Austrian fried cheese…. we got the public transportation down pretty good and that made our trip a little easier. After starting LA at 4am, the flight from Vienna to Yerevan should have been sleepy time… except there was the Ararat Football team on the flight and the entire back of the plane was a party. I don’t think that Austrian Air had enough wine on the flight and The Pacifier, hmmm… man Vin Diesel is awesome.
We got to Yerevan and made it to the hotel. The 16 person van was loaded all the way down with luggage… not really any room for 9 people. And, the most luggage ever brought to Armenia award goes to…. Alene Tchekmedyian! Well, most of it is stuff to be given to people here so the award is a good one, go Alene and her mom.
Everyone was so excited to be in Yerevan so I don’t think anyone really slept once we got here. We went out for a tour of Yerevan and it was breath taking…. So many new things and places to go, hope one month is long enough to catch it all.
Off to the airport for another arrival. Here a few pics of things that are awesome….
The interns at the Erubuni Fortress!
Check out Yerevan from atop of the Cascade… is this city even recognizable??
