Armenia 2005
Hello everyone! My name is Carla Yaldezian and I am from St. James L.A. This is my second time to Armenia for a youth mission. In the year 2001, I particpated in the 1700th pilgrimage with many other A.C.Y.O members from all around the western diocese. Armenia has completely changed since 2001 which is a great feeling to witness.
The trip here was something else! I have forgotten how long that flight really is. The fact that I was with so many other people made it alot easier to cope. The other interns and I have become really good friends and in such a short amount of time. I have met people that I have never seen before at some of the A.C.Y.O functions. If you have never been to Armenia and have thought about coming or are even skeptical, participating in CYMA is the way to go.
In the two days that I have been here I have learned so much about our people and the history behind the making of what Armenia is what is today. There is so much vital information that incompases Armenia and its just a matter of us absorbing it.
I hope throughout this trip, you can follow along to get a better idea of what Armenia is all about…
