Christian Youth Mission Accepting Applications for 2006 Trip

The Christian Youth Mission to Armenia is excited to announce that it is accepting applications for summer 2006. Now in it’s the third year the CYMA program is expanding and enhancing the experiences offered to youth of the Western Diocese.

CYMA has established an annual Pilgrimage for youth 18 and up who are interested in experiencing the homeland. This trip will be for two weeks, during which participants will travel through Armenia and Nagorno-Karabagh and truly experience that land that the faith of our fore-fathers established. This trip is perfect for youth and young adults who are interested in visiting Armenia for the first time or have obligations to work or school during the summer, and have a limited amount of time with which to visit Hyestan.

The CYMA internship program, which has truly been a success since the inaugural trip in 2004, is now being expanded to two months and will be for our youth who are 20 years of age or older. This will truly be the ultimate experience for our youth. During this time they will fully be able to integrate into the daily life of living in Armenia, while participating in an internship that will help them fulfill their career goals. Those who participate will find themselves will truly socially, culturally, professionally, and spiritually transformed.

It is the goal of the CYMA mission to ensure that every young person in the Western Diocese experience the ancestral homeland. Toward this end CYMA is also expanding its scholarship program. Due to the aforementioned changes to the mission, as well as support from the faithful of the Western Diocese it will be significantly more affordable for our youth to participate in CYMA.
