Reflections by Sevan Movsesian

This year I was presented an amazing opportunity to travel to Armenia. This was my first time traveling to my motherland. Before arriving in Yerevan I had no idea what to expect for what my friends and family have told me. The first day all my nervous thoughts turned in thoughts of excitement and joy. The city was beautiful. From that point I knew that the next month would be not only a life changing experience for me but also a chance to reconnect with my roots.

The short time that we have been here has been such an wonderful experience. We have only been here for 10 days, but we have done so much that it feels like we've been here for more than a month. Being in Armenia has really made me think about what it is to be Armenian and the vast amount of history that we have as a people and as a country. Being in Armenia has brought to life all the images and stories that we have learned in our Armenian textbooks as kids.

I am looking forward to the rest of the month in Armenia and all the trips we have planned. I hope I will be able to grow more not only as a Christian but also an Armenian.
