CYMA 2012 APPLICATION NOW AVAILABLE

It’s that time of year again!! If you’re 18 or older CYMA 2012 applications are waiting for you! Last year we had 22 participants, and this year we want more.

With the leadership of the clergy CYMA Pilgrims engage in many activities during the month program. They travel to the most beautiful spiritual and historical sites throughout Armenia and Artsakh.They visit historical landmarks such as the unique architectural construction of Geghard and Haghpat and spend a night at the majestic complex of Tatev Monastrey.

During the first 3 weeks of the trip from Monday-Wednesday our participants will intern at a place of their choice. This past summer our youth interned at various locations such as Zangakatun and Ghoghanj where they spent time with youth that were from socially at-risk families. We also had many participants intern at a local hospital.

One of the unique aspects of our CYMA trip is a service project which is a way to teach our youth about the importance of giving back to their homeland while expecting very little in return. This year’s service project took place in the city of Berd. Our pilgrims along with the youth of Berd worked to renovate the courtyard of the ancient Mayrivank Monastery and remolded a youth center. They also stayed with host families and connect with the youth. In response to our presence in Berd their local youth group has quadrupled in size.

All you need to do is fill it out, write a 1 page essay, and submit your application.

When filling out your application keep in mind ALL materials (including the essay and the initial deposit) are due March 3, 2012

Upon completion of the application, you must send in the $1000.00 check deposit along with a copy or scan of your passport! Deposit checks are to be made payable to CYMA and mailed to:
